It is of course possible to fall in love with your boss at the workplace. This usually happens when you are a hard working individual who is so committed to her/his work that it becomes impossible to pursue a love life outside, in the normal everyday world, because your whole day is spent in office, beyond the regular work hours, so that you can further your career fast.
Both men and women love members of the opposite sex who possess a focused approach towards life, confidence, varied interests and different kinds of expertise. It is easiest to meet people like this on the work front and maybe the person you like turns out to be your boss.
There are however both pros and cons of dating your boss. You have an extremely clear idea of your love interest’s career, job, work profile, what kind of designation he holds in office, what are his work hours, how is the person perceived at work.
You will have many things in common with him and you will be able to understand him and support him better. He too will be understanding of your problems and there will be lesser chances of misunderstandings due to long work hours. Workplace is not the ideal place to have a relationship and you might end up neglecting your job.
While having a fight, you can’t stay away from each other to cool down because every other moment you will be seeing his face in office. You two will become the butt of the office gossips, jokes, unkind and uncharitable remarks and allegations will be hurled at your boss that he is providing unfair opportunities to his girlfriend for her career’s advancement.
If any misunderstanding crops up that is related to physical relationship, you might bring an accusation against each other of sexual harassment, which is really pitiful.
